James Cain

Founder and Principal

Before co-founding Duncan Park Capital in 2021, James spent six years at SynerMark Properties (formerly known as Kennedy Wilson) in Austin as Head of Acquisitions and Asset Management, where he led the purchase of commercial properties in Austin and San Antonio totaling over 250,000 square feet (situated on over 15 acres). Prior to SynerMark, James was with Pennybacker Capital in Austin where he handled asset management of multifamily investments on behalf of two value funds. Before living in Austin, James spent his early career in commercial real estate finance handling loan origination, underwriting and workouts/restructuring.

James graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics-Political Science.
